Report of week ending 21 May

One win and five losses for the Saturday League sides. Almost all matches were played with a reduced number of overs on wet pitches and in these circumstances it is best to win the toss and field first but in all but one game the toss was lost and Rayleigh were asked to bat.

With four rain interruptions Rayleigh struggled to build a competitive score only Ben Francis (41), Jason Ox (29) and Will Nolde (24) making any impression against accurate bowling and the innings closed on 141-7. The home side knocked the runs off in the 22nd over for the loss of 1 wicket.
