Report of week ending 28th July

A better week for the Saturday sides with four of the six sides winning

The 1st XI went to Hatfield Peverel and were bowled out for 154, Matt Williams top scoring with 39. The home side passed this score for the loss of five wickets.

The 2nd XI hosted Galleywood 1st XI who batted first and scored 132, Danny Frost taking 3-36. In reply Rayleigh scored 135-5, Danny Frost (31).

The 3rd XI had no game as Bluehouse have dropped out of the League.

The 4th XI played Woodham Mortimer 2nd XI and batting first totalled 236-6, Daryl Ox (63). Woodham were bowled out for 151, Josh Jones taking 4-59.

The 5th XI travelled to Thurrock 3rd XI , who batted first and scored 228-9, Matt Dobson taking 4-34. Rayleigh were bowled out for 148, Steven Lynch (38).

The 6th XI hosted Thurrock 4th XI, who batted first and scored 105. Sam Levett taking 4-42. The 6th XI passed this score for the loss of 6 wickets, Steve Gosling scoring 41.

The 7th XI played a friendly against Chalkwell Misfits and bowled them out for 177. A sixth wicket partnership between Jack Himpfen- Jones (40) and Paul Davies (59) saw the 7th XI home by 3 wickets with two overs to spare.

The Under 11As continued their winning ways against Rayleigh Fairview U 11s who batted first and scored 252-6 net score 222. Rayleigh scored 323-3 net score 315 to win by 93 runs and as a result they will be playing in a semi-final against a team from the South Essex District West League.
