I am sorry to have to inform members that Tony Lambert, until last month President of the Club, has died.
Tony played for the Club for many years. As a batsman he did not give his wicket away cheaply and although principally a defensive player, he could score quickly on occasion. He was a useful slow bowler and could be guaranteed to keep the opposition run rate down and was an excellent fielder in the gully even in his early 70s.
