Hiring Policy
Hire of the pavilion for social events – Rayleigh Cricket Club
Who can hire the clubroom?
The pavilion may be hired for social events provided the clubroom is available on the day and at the time required by members or by friends and relatives of members.
Application to hire the clubroom should be made to the Social Secretary at least four weeks before the event stating whether the bar will be required.
What will the hire charges be?
A charge of £25 will be made for club member’s parties and £80 for parties for friends and relatives of members.
If music is to be played at a party for friends and relatives of members an additional charge of £50 will be made as the Club now has to pay £350 a year for a licence to play music. All music is to be played inside the clubroom.
Additional charges of £25 will be made if the clubroom is not cleaned after the event and payment made for any significant damage caused.
A deposit in advance of the event may be required by the Management Committee.
Administration
- A list of non-members invited to the event is be supplied to the bar manager prior to commencement of the event.
- Only alcohol purchased on the premises may be consumed at the party.
- The bar will close at 11 pm.
- Arrangements for food and music are to be made by the hirer.
- Further special conditions apply to 18th birthday parties.
Hiring conditions during playing season
Members may hire the clubroom on an evening when games are being played at home provided the following additional conditions are met:
- Access to playing members and any visiting players must be allowed in the Clubroom until 11 p.m. when the bar will close.
- No more than 40 guests of the individual hiring the facility other than Club members be invited.
- A disco may only be held if it does not intrude on the ability of members to converse inside the Clubroom.
